Synopsis
The story of a woman in a time of oppression, a time of great wealth and great poverty, in which women lacked both rights and ventures of their own making. For Spain in the 1920’s, Victoria is a woman ahead of her time; smart, enterprising, shrewd, beautiful and determined to break out of the restraints imposed by the society she has been born into. But above all, Lady is a love story: Victoria and Angel’s love story. He, a priest of humble background; she, the heiress of the family mining company. A love of the kind that endures with the passing of time yet seemingly condemned never to be consummated, due to the vast social differences prevailing and the interference of third parties with dark intentions. Set at the turn of the century, Lady aims to recuperate the tone and style of classical series that combine romanticism, epic storytelling, and historical record.
