HBO Latin America and DIAGONAL TV have coproduced the series Destino Brasil 2014, which aims to transmit to the viewer all the emotion of the world cup through its protagonists. Telling the stories of struggle, sacrifice and personal growth, this HBO original gives a new perspective of the world’s most famous footballers… off the playing field.

Destino Brasil 2014 affords viewers an insight into the Latin American nations that will fight to raise the cup in Brazil 2014, as well as the inspiring stories of a choice group of players such as Alexis Sánchez, Javier Hernández “Chicharito”, Xavi Hernández, Xabi Alonso, Neymar, Marcelo, David Luiz, Oscar, Jackson Martínez, Pirlo, Fernando Gago, Giovani Dos Santos, Rafael Márquez and Miguel Layún, among others.

The series is currently on the air in over 30 countries on the HBO network throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and in the US on HBO Latino, with each episode scheduled to link in with the matches disputed each day during the World Cup.

Destino Brasil 2014 is produced by Diagonal TV CEOs Joan Bas and Jaume Banacolocha and executive produced by Eulogio Romero while HBO Latin America Originals executive producers are Luis F. Peraza, Roberto Ríos, Paul Drago and Néstor Hernández.
